Priestly Ordination of Deacons Simplicius and Alfonse Jojo was conferred by rt. Rev. Lucas Kerketta SVD, Bishop of Sambhalpur, on 3^rd April 2008, at Nitya sahaya mata church, Deogarh, Orissa, (about 97 KM from Jharsuguda)During this Eucharistic Celebration , 25 priests (9 Dominicans), 11 Dominican , 12 religious sisters and 4 postulants were present, along with the great number of the faithful coming from different villages of the parish.

            The ceremony began at 8 AM  with a solemn traditional tribal entrance dance with the accompaniment of the  dholaks (drums) and cymbals women and children in their festive cultural apparels sung and danced at the resounding melody of the devotional hymns. The celebration was marked by some cultural symbolisms like parents offering the candidates to the Lord by leading them by the hand in their journey to the altar of the Lord.

The Holy Mass was followed by a colorful entertainment program depicting the culture of the place. A solemn meal was arranged for the faithful, the celebration at the Church were enhanced by a solemn reception of the newly ordained priests in their respective homes in the traditional manner, We congratulate the newly ordained priests Fr. Simplicius & FR. Alfonse, thus they add to our already existing strength to our already existing strength of the order, making it 69 priests in the province of India.
