FOR ADDRESS PLEASE SEE MOUNT ST DOMINIC, MANGALORE

Fr. Pat Lucey, O.P., the Prior Provincial of Ireland (Our Mother Province) laid the foundation for our Postulants' house at Polali, Mangalore on the 21st of October 2007. At the blessing of the foundation there is a custom of burying some relics. Fr. Pat took out his own rosary that he was wearing and laid it under the foundation stone. He said that it symbolizes the presence and the love of the Irish Province in all our undertakings and specially in our formation. The brethren well appreciated this simple and spontaneous gesture that spoke to us of the great concern the Irish Province has towards us. At present 20 postulants and three priests are residing in the old and modified farm house. The three priests who reside here are Fr. Peter Mendonsa (Superior), Fr. Cyril Noronha (Bursar) and Fr. Shiju Francis (Postulant Master).Though the present house is very congested and not much place to move around, the brethren are very happy and ready for any sacrifice. We hope that within a year our new house of Postulancy will be ready.  Our special thanks to Fr. Pat Lucey.
